DC, Milestone, and Ally are on a mission to revolutionize the comics industry.

That’s why they teamed up to create The Milestone Initiative: a groundbreaking program to empower Black and diverse creators with the tools to become the next generation of superhero storytellers.

In May, at the Milestone Initiative Summit at DC headquarters, the first class of these emerging stars came together for a one week mentorship program, where legends like Jim Lee, Marie Javins, Denys Cowan, Reggie Hudlin, and Chris Conroy, along with experts from Ally, helped them hone the creative and business skills they’ll need to make it in the comic book industry– one of the most competitive fields in the world. For many of the Milestone Initiative participants, it was the first time they’d ever been given a shot. And the results were nothing short of life changing.
